Epic Games is searching for a Senior Programmer capable of working across Game and Engine teams to build services and features highly impactful to users. As part of our Game Services team, you’ll work on cutting edge platform development and supporting player experiences across multiple new IP's. The ideal candidate is passionate about gaming technology, well-versed in C++, console development, and web services. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team developing technology that enables the long-term vision of Epic.



The person in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Contributing to overall architectural vision and development
  • Contributing to and enforcing engineering best practices including peer reviews, coding standards, and others as necessary
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to turn product requirements into a technical design
  • Developing and implementing valuable online features for all of Epic’s games

The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:

  • Exceptional C++ programming skills

  • Experience writing asynchronous gameplay systems with some of the logic on both the client and server

  • Experience developing online features for games in the current console generation

  • Knowledge of networking, rendering, and other systems impacting quality and performance

  • Experience building end-user client applications that connect to complex back-end services

  • Unreal Engine development experience

  • Passion for games, great user experiences, and building products that will support multiple games

  • Keen analytical mind and mature problem solving skills

  • General experience with web services
