Epic Games is looking for an onsite contract Game Test Engineer.  The person in this role will evaluate and evolve test processes, dig beyond the surface to find the issues buried deep within core systems, and keep our tests lean, efficient and focused. The person in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Informing the development process through bug reports, build stability reports, balance feedback, and data

  • Writing comprehensive test cases around core functionality of a game

  • Auditing, maintaining, and updating existing test cases for thoroughness and efficiency

  • Writing and maintaining existing automation tests

  • Investigating and finding the root cause of obscure issues

The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:

  • Basic Unreal Engine experience

  • Computer science background or equivalent education

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to communicate subjective matters objectively

  • Technical aptitude in the gaming space

  • Skilled troubleshooter
