We are looking for a Network Engineer to work with our team to create cutting-edge solutions. This individual will be critical to the company’s success as we build and expand our global network. Someone who is up to the task of creating awesome IT solutions, able to support a growing team will be an ideal fit here.  The person in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Establishing and maintaining Epic’s global network infrastructure

  • Performing break/fix maintenance, such as RMAs, routing changes/traffic engineering, DDoS mitigation, etc.

  • Designing system configurations and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards

  • Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with team on network optimization

  • Performing high-level troubleshooting and analysis to determine the root-cause of network outages and implement workarounds and permanent solutions.

  • Act as an escalation point for network-related issues.


The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:

  • 5+ years experience supporting a diverse networking environment

  • Managing and supporting fault tolerant, global, WAN topologies. (VPN, WEX, Remote Access).

  • Familiarity configuring and maintaining BGP configurations

  • Performance and capacity monitoring of internet facing and site to site bandwidth.

  • Expertise in troubleshooting LAN performance for applications and end users.

  • Managing and supporting Datacenter LAN topologies (Cisco, Arista) as well as perimeter network security appliances(Cisco ASA, PA)

  • Supporting and maintaining network authentication infrastructure (RADIUS, TACACS+)

  • Experience developing and implementing security best practices for networking

  • Familiarity with Cloud and IaaS provider network implementations.

  • Proficient using Source Control tools (Perforce or Git preferred)

  • Ability to work with commercial and open source tools in support of a hybrid cloud model

  • Experience writing code to create automated solutions (Bash, Ruby, Python, Javascript, Powershell)

  • Advanced understanding of and experience with Linux, OS X, or Windows operating systems
