As a Product Manager at Epic, you will be a part of collaborative teams working on new and emerging IP in a player-focused environment. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is excited to use creative and analytical skills to partner with Production team members.
The person in this role will be responsible for the following:
Drive the continued optimization of a game title with a focus on engagement and monetization
Answer business questions through data analysis using SQL, Excel, and other business intelligence tools
Monitor and drive improvements to engagement and monetization KPIs; Provide regular KPI updates to team leadership
Work closely with Producers, Game Designers, and Engineers to help define, launch and optimize a feature and content roadmap
Tune and balance new features and content
Write product specification documents
Collaborate with Game Designers and Producers to identify improvements to existing gameplay loops, as well as new feature, content, and event ideas
Define and manage the execution and scheduling of any in-game events:
define schedule cadence (daily, weekly, etc.) and the content needed
write in-game announcements
design events, set up admin tools, and launch events
manage payout rewards to eligible players
Monitor event performance for optimization opportunities. Manage messaging, design, and tuning experiments for in-game events
The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:
Strong familiarity, and ideally experience with, free-to-play game mechanics, concepts and principles
- Experience launching F2P games with a minimum of 2 years as a Product Manager or similar
Understanding of core engagement and monetization KPIs
Demonstrated ability to integrate and constructively contribute to team dynamics
Results driven personality who is self-motivated to consistently deliver high quality in all solitary, functional group or team outputs
Comfortable and skilled at gathering, synthesizing and communicating large data-sets to make actionable insights. Excel and SQL experience is required
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experience writing project plans and product specification documents
2+ years of social/mobile product management or investment banking/management consulting experience
Experience working for a social or mobile game developer a significant plus
MBA a plus
