Epic Games is looking for a Community Manager to work within the local Unreal Engine ( community in China. The person in this role will be a lead voice for Epic Games in the Chinese market, working closely with both the professional and indie development communities. You will be the driving force coordinating the group effort it will take to inspire and support a self-sustaining Unreal Engine community in the region.  In addition to the community aspect of the role, you will also have a voice in developing and executing marketing strategies for the Unreal Engine and coordinating events in the region, as well as having some involvement in the customer support function for Unreal engine subscribers.

The person in this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Initiating positive and supportive conversations inside the community around content, programs, contests, information and opportunities that will be of interest to the community
  • Influencing the outreach strategy for Unreal Engine’s online presence
  • Supporting conversations on social media, in comment threads and on the forums on the, and in social media channels such as  Weibo, Wechat, QQ, Bilibili, etc.
  • Familiar with SNS site not only in China but also world wide, such as twitch, youtube, twitter, facebook, etc.
  • Organizing the process of Epic developer participation on owned channels (blog, social media, forums); finding topics and resources to answer popular topics; channeling information into documentation; and guiding tone and policy
  • Sorting, triaging and funneling customer issues that surface in the community to the proper place and escalation path (documentation, marketing, individual developers, ops support, developer relations, licensing, Marketplace); coordinating closely with various stakeholder
  • Driving changes to web properties and a content cadence to support community goals
  • Regularly analyzing and reporting community sentiment internally

The ideal candidate will have a mix of the qualifications below:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good written and verbal skill in English and excellent in Chinese.
  • Organized, flexible and able to work with multiple stakeholders
  • A passion for games, real-time technology and 3D software
  • High comfort level with social media and online communications
  • Should be able to give a speech in public about Unreal Engine news and interact will with community people online media and offline meet up

Preference to candidates who:

  • Have one or more shipped titles in career experience
  • Come from a game or software development background
  • Familiar with high level of process of game development
  • Experience managing or working with creative communities
  • Experience creating, moderating, or managing forum and working in CMS enviornements

  • 在社区内积极地发起各项有关引擎内容、程序、竞赛、新闻以及就业机会等社区用户感兴趣的话题;
  • 扩大虚幻引擎在线上的影响力;
  • 在各类社交媒体中发起并维护引擎相关话题,包括评论区、虚幻引擎论坛以及微博、微信、QQ等社交媒体和 哔哩哔哩等视频交互媒体。;
  • 除了熟悉中国的社交媒体以外,对全球社交媒体的应用也有一定了解,包括 twitch,youtube,facebook,twitter等。
  • 组织Epic的开发团队成员在自有平台上发布内容(博客、Epic社交网络、论坛),搜集资源及内容来回答热点问题;将各类技术信息编制成系统性的文档;把控宣传内容的基调;
  • 收集、汇总、分类社区用户提出的问题,将其按照正确的上报途径转发给相关的团队(文档、市场、公司内的开发组成员、客服团队、开发者关系管理团队、授权业务团队等),并协调各部门人员一起解决问题
  • 持续更新网站页面内容并把控内容节奏,支持社区发展需要。
  • 定期向公司内部发布社区动向的分析汇报


  • 很强的书面及口头沟通能力
  • 良好的英语读写能力和优秀的中文读写能力。
  • 有条理、灵活应变且能够协调多方人员进行工作
  • 对游戏、实时渲染技术以及3D软件相关的技术怀有热情
  • 善于使用社交媒体及能够进行顺畅的线上交流
  • 能够在公开场合进行演讲


  • 有上线游戏的社区工作经验
  • 来自游戏或软件开发行业
  • 有管理过开发者小组或者社区的经验
  • 有管理过论坛的经验并且熟悉 CMS 的工具环境。
